ATLANTA FEST 2011

Atlanta Fest 2011 was a blast! If you weren’t there then you really missed out. This year featured KJ52, Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Switchfoot, David Crowder Band, Manafest, Disciple, Rush Of Fools, Sanctus Real, Downhere, Chris August, Matt Jackson, and many more.

It was a huge turnout this year. I think it was twice as many people this year as there were last year. But what really made this year fun for CornerStone was the fact that we were proud sponsors this year of the wood stage. Matt Jackson lead worship each morning on the CornerStonefaith.com wood stage. It was so beautiful because the stage was set back into the woods by the camping area. So each morning we went to worship surrounded by these hundred year old trees and the voice of Matt Jackson. This is the way worship should be every morning. Speakers Joey Hill and Chad Wallace ministered each morning during the worship service. They were both really amazing. Chad’s testimony brought tears to my eyes.

But the real treat were the interviews we did with Rush Of Fools, Downhere, Matt Jackson, and KJ52. We will post those interviews in the coming weeks. Sanctus Real, Seventh Day Slumber, and members of the David Crowder Band were all interviewed on the CornerStonefaith.com stage answering questions from youth Pastors and youth leaders. We were also blessed to meet so many new artist this year.

Manafest rocked it on the Dole day stage along with Reilly, Chasen, Ivoryline, Wavorly, Living Anthem, Anthem Lights, and Hyland. Chris Sligh and Andrew Peterson performed on the One Heartbeat stage. I was pretty disappointed that I missed Chris and Andrew. Andrew Peterson just came out with his new book and had it for sale at the event. A really nice lady came over to our table and told us how excited she was that she got to see Andrew perform. I wish I had been there.

Disciple stole the show for me. They were so amazing on the Natures Own main stage this year. Last year they were on the other stage and we had to run through the woods in the rain to see them. This year they took the main stage and gave the best performance I’d ever seen. Kevin sang and ministered to the crowd. Disciple is so passionate for the faith. If you’ve never seen them perform you have to get to their next show. Disciple will be at the Creation Festival in PA on July 1.
